mrs_posher @ceruleancafe hello friend. I used it as a prop because I love the dress but it needed something. My husband gave that to me for our wedding anniversary. I always wanted a squash blossom necklace. Are you familiar with them? I’ve always love the artwork and the beautiful turquoise. I’m a lucky woman 🥰

ceruleancafe I, too, have always wanted a squash blossom. In an earlier life, I spent time on the Navajo reservation and learned a bit about jewelry but mostly about weaving. For one year I made a big effort to learn the language. People laughed at my accent. It’s a beautiful culture. 😊 Your necklace is a treasure. What a special gift. I’d like to learn more about it too. Would you happen to know anything about some Of the markings on the back? It’s got many different stamps and then one etched.

ceruleancafe @mrs_posher Elana, When I hadn’t heard from Bing yet, I contacted my friends at Perry Null Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico. Along with Bing and his people, Perry and his people are the most knowledgeable in the world (literally) about this topic. My specific friend at Perry’s (whose name I will omit) asks for additional photos. Those I sent appeared too blurry, this person says. Is it possible to take a few more photos? Thanks, April 🌷🌷🌷

ceruleancafe @mrs_posher You’re most certainly not taking advantage—I barged in hoping to decode the hallmark. And when I couldn’t, I thought of the good people I’ve been fortunate enough to know who could shed light on it. I can cease and desist, or you could communicate directly with these experts, or I can follow through at least with Perry’s person. Both organizations are respected: Perry Null Trading Post (Gallup, New Mexico) and Crosby Collection (Park City, Utah). I apologize for causing a situation.

missmiscme @mrs_posher I too have used my squash blossom necklace (my husband gave me too) as a prop for photos. It always seems to pull together an outfit :) I have a book of Native American hallmarks I’d be happy to look at if you have photos of the hallmark.
