Blue Willow Tucker by Anne Barge Wedding Dress

I'm so excited to give my wedding dress a second life. This dress was the classic fairytale princess dress of my dreams, without being exaggerated, overly-fussy or enormously puffy. The style reminded me of Marilyn Monroe's silhouette. The most special part: it comes with a removable overskirt (train) that invisibly hooks on at the waistline (from the hips back). For my ceremony, I wore the full dress with the elegant overskirt trailing behind me, which looked stunning in photos. As soon as the ceremony wrapped and we went into cocktail hour, I took the overskirt off and could walk freely without a train or having to bustle, and wore the sleeker dress for the remainder of the night. This dress is the Tucker by Blue Willow / Anne Barge dress, modified to feature spaghetti straps instead of over-the-arm hanging bell straps. It is ivory and has been dry-cleaned to perfection. The cut is more curvy than a-line, accentuating the waistline. My favorite feature is the diagonal pleats that flow down from the waist - it made for an incredibly flattering and comfortable dress - I wasn't concerned with any bunching/gathering of fabric around my stomach all evening. The material is luxuriously thick and has a subtle sheen to it, but never felt too heavy or hot (even in early September on Long Island). Please don't hesitate to ask ANY questions!
