This antique Pitcher Vase is a Blue Ridge Floral Pitcher The pattern is Milady - Chintz Pitcher No chips or nicks. One crazing line in spout area Some discoloration inside the vessel, only does have a discolored crazing as shown in the photos I circled it in blue in the photos digitally so there isnt blue ink on the vase it self ! It is hand painted underglaze I only found one pitcher with this pattern but a different body shape! These have no date, but I found this article about the brands history Please see full article about this pottery here http://www.blueridge-spi.com/pottery/rap1997/history.html My piece is from the Hand painted time period! From MOMs items I am guessing on what she paid please make offer thanks
The Hand Painted Era (1938-1957)
In 1938 Southern Potteries' owner, Charles W. Foreman, elevated the products produced by S.P.I. to an art form when he introduced the technique of hand painting under glaze. The earliest hand paintings consisted of accent strokes and simple designs around decals. The decals were gradually eliminated until all designs became hand painted, sometime in the early 1940's.
(1938-1957) make it over 60 years to 80 years old I hope you love it !
