@kita2014 I normally wear a size 6 and a 28 in waist on denim but I measured my shorts here and it comes to a 33 and 34 all the way around with my measuring tape

@rnalphus to be safe, you may not be able to fit them. However the shorts you have that’s a 33 depends on the Brand. Also if your shorts are low rise that explains the Size 33. These are made Higher and naturally women waist is higher and Smaller! If all your shorts are 33, then you wear a 33. However follow your first mind!
