melsells98 @chrissyd311 Hello! The waist is 34.5in laying flat and it is 42in when stretched out to the max :) I also have a dark green pair of shorts that are very similar style! Those are 36in waist laying flat and 45in stretched out.

melsells98 @chrissyd311 Sorry for the confusion. In that case it would be 17.25 inches across when laid down flat on the floor. Hopefully that is more clear.
