Black Blouse from CP Shades

This lovely black blouse from CP Shades is a true vintage from either the late 1980s or 1990s (this guesstimate is based on the fact I inherited it from my late writing mentor—a relatively well-known writer). While it has sentimental value, I’m just not reaching for it and I’m downsizing my closet and house right now as I prepare to move; I figure I have other beautiful items from her and she was a no nonsense person who would want it to be worn. A size small it’s made from a black rayon that has a gorgeous floral weave/texture to it). The sleeves are 3/4 and the top buttons up the front with a minimal collar up top. CP Shades has a bit of a cult following for good reason: the fabrics are delicious and the cuts timelessly elegant. If you get this blouse you get to actually wear significant literary history that has tendrils in the Beat Generation as well as the Black Mountain Poets. It’s also just a cool shirt.
