lorelei937 I wear a 40 in a birkenstock sandal. Do these size the same? I am between a 9.5 and 10 in other shoes, depending on the brand. thanks!!

catknip @lorelei937 I can only say that I wear the birk clog a size larger than their sandal and I wear a 5.5wide shoe. Perhaps you don't need to do this if you have a/b width feet. I really don't know.

catknip @lesliepantoni48 SorryI don't understand this comment. Birkenstock calls the 40 a size 9 as shown on the footbed-- L9 M7 or ladies 9 and mens7. Please look at photos of footbed.

catknip @hannahreimer528 I wouldn't unless you have a wide foot. The narrow footprint is unisex and so a regular fit is actually a c/d width which I consider a wide for a women. I wear a 5.5 wide but in a birk I wear what Birkenstock considers a 5 regular.

catknip @hannahreimer528 if you are typically a 40, the size 10 are a 41 and are probably too big for you.
