Google, dear. Necklaces don’t have leopard tags. Ever. There’s article after article explaining exactly how these are FAKE. This is exactly like the $2.00 on eBay coming from China.

@laurabug92 This is happened to me time and time again! I received one today that it is completely inauthentic and so cheap looking I was shocked! I wrote the seller and asked about his authenticity and she deleted my comment. I reported it to PM! How do I know if it’s real?

@potscloset PM is drowning in fake Betsey Johnson. Quite frankly, it’s difficult to even fine legit stuff here sometimes. People are getting fakes off eBay for literally $1 and selling them here. One dead giveaway is the leopard print tag. BJ rarely uses those, if they’re even used at all anymore. The correct tags are pink with black writing, and white with pink writing.

@potscloset The other dead giveaway is the chain. Take this listing for example—the chain just looks cheap and tacky. Almost every fake on eBay has this exact chain type. Also, every BJ necklace will have a heart with black lettering that’s either BJ or it’ll be Betsey Johnson. Always look for imperfections with the piece, too. Have the seller post as many pictures as possible, if they won’t, it’s more than likely fake.

@potscloset I HIGHLY recommend checking out the fakes on eBay. Search Betsey Johnson Jewelry and put the max price at $2 or $3.
Posh isn’t doing much of anything to stop this crap as far as I can tell. It’s ridiculous.
I report every fake I see...but most of the time nothing happens. Like with this one...it’s still up.

I have half a notion to decline every single order that is coming to me. Because now I cannot tell the difference unless I look further before purchasing?difference!

@laurabug92 My gosh! That is absolutely unacceptable! I will take your advice and I will search eBay and I will look at the differences between all the cheap re-creations and then the real ones. I am so disheartened right now and I ordered almost 20 of them for Christmas gifts for everyone in my family! WOW!

Holy s**t! This is horrible! I will definitely look at some other people that are selling items, because I know the lady that I bought two of them from, that arrive today, when I questioned her about it, she deleted my comments and then she denied doing so. That’s when I contacted PM!

@potscloset Ooooh. If you got them on here, just open a case immediately upon receiving them. Posh is generally pretty good about resolving issues when you’ve clearly been screwed by someone. I got some fake Birkenstocks that were obviously fake. I opened a claim, and within a couple days I was completely refunded. That doesn’t help your problem with being out the Christmas gifts though... if you have Instagram or Twitter I’d be happy to check out the pieces for you.

@potscloset the easiest thing will just be to screenshot a picture from the listing and then send it through a DM on Instagram. I’m lauravenom on there.
