It's the kid of Dress Jessica McLintock/Gunne Sax was using for inspiration. The only difference is that this the real thing. Homemade and likely by the girl who wore it. It's a very lightweight cotton chintz with a balloon sleeve that's gathered at the wrist. It has a kind of high empire waist. The skirt and sleeves are banded in red and yellow. It has been laundered a number of times but there's plenty of life left in the textile. I found it in East Central Pennsylvania. And was really delighted to discover that it has it's two matching head bandanas. I know this isn't cheap, but I promise you weill never find a better, more honest, example. By the way. I was around when these were popular. It's very "summer of love" (but that was actually 1969). Peace & Love
