David Gil 1960s ceramic Lion Plate for Bennington Potters, Vermont. This mid century piece is in mint condition: no chips, cracks or crazing.
This terrific hanging ceramic plaque was created in the 1960's by the famous American pottery Bennington in Vermont. The company's logo and name are stamped into the clay on the backside, see photos. The design depicts a lion centered in a oval form. There are two holes on the backside at the top with coated twine to hang this ceramic art work on a wall. Truly a prime example of this terrific pottery's work during their classic period.
