Blue Spongeware Heart Shaped Dish by Bennington Potters in Vermont. This is in the "Blue Agate" glaze, and is about 8 inches wide. It is Dishwasher, Microwave, Oven Safe. In excellent like-new condition. This lovely dish could be used for baking, serving appetizers, or as a pretty part of a Country or Farmhouse decor. Or combine with some Red and White dishes to make a pretty addition to an Independence Day table decor with the lovely blue color. It is stamped on the bottom "Bennington Potters, Bennington VT, 1950".
Bennington Potters was founded in 1948 by David Gil. The artisan-crafted stoneware has always been made in America, in the small pottery studio in Bennington, Vermont.
