An updated version of our much beloved original 'Belonging to the Darkness' ring, this version features a marriage between an antique setting and two bat leg bones. As a talisman: this ring signifies a belonging to one's self. When I designed the first version of this ring, I was thinking of the Persephone myth as well as the idea of being 'married to oneself', a symbol of self acceptance despite there being aspects of oneself that's undesirable or repressed. For me personally, it's a symbol of my ongoing journey of accepting my melancholia & ( at times ) paralyzingly sensitivity. It's a symbol of being strong & vulnerable. A symbol of meeting your shadow and allowing it to stay. This ring stands 10 mm off of the finger and is 21mm wide at its widest point and features a faceted round 9mm Moonstone. Moonstone is closely tied to the moon, with some cultures believing the stone is solidified moon rays, while others think of them as embodiments of the moon's tears. Acting as a kind of Psychic armor, it is thought to protect its wearer from not only dark nights, but dark times; it helps sooth grief, loss, and other emotional turbulence. It is also a great tool for meditation and clairvoyance, & has been used in jewelry since ancient times for both its unique beauty and magic. #bloodmilk
