Vintage MINT, Brand New. British Beefeater Guard for the Tower of London, Fully Dressed in uniform to perform his duties protecting the Tower of London & Crown Jewels. New in Box, still wire twisted to box inside. Original by Leonardo Collections Great Britain. The Beefeater is an original from the Leonardo Collection Porcelain Dolls bought in London. New in original box. The doll is in mint condition. His collar appears that it could be in need of tightening. He comes with his Beefeater hat, & pointed staff. The original Beefeater Guard / Solider is made of fine porcelain, Hand Painted, and dressed in the authentic fine clothes of the Yoeman Warders, with belts, boots, hat, staff, and stands on his own with a display stand. 14" H The guards at the Tower of London are called Yeoman Warders, and their nickname is Beefeaters. In principle they are responsible for looking after any prisoners at the Tower and safeguarding the British crown jewels, but in practice they act as tour guides and are a tourist attraction in their own right.
