12” c. 1940 Bauer yellow ring oval ceramic serving platter. 12” across x 9 3/8” Color is like squash yellow. See photos. Top has very light marks under the glaze. A repaired chip on edge. Marked on bottom BAUER LOS ANGELES . Repaired chip from top. 2 small areas of loss. Some light brownish discoloration, looks like from cooking, 2 small “slips”‘probably from production. Weighs 2 lbs. 4.1 oz. A colorful piece of California serve ware that still has many miles to go.
