Barbie Couture Symphony in Chiffon African American NIB

This 1998 Barbie is beyond striking. Beginning with the box in sherbet gradients of coral and pink. The beautiful signed Robert Best drawing. Her face is the Mackie close mouth sculpt. A lustrous coiled updo, crystal dangle earrings, magenta headband. A chiffon cape surrounds her head like a cloud and ultimately cascade into a cape with ruching at the neck and attached by two silver hooks. Her nails are painted and she wears a ring. Her peplum bodice is adorned with crystals, tassels , beading, shimmering golden threads. Unsnapping the bodice see the shantung jacket is lined (even the sleeves) and has couture detailing. The back has princess paneling: wow! There is a tulle petticoat, pink shantung bloomers. and her skirt is a dirndl ball gown, fully lined with a Barbie tag. Shoes are a gold court shoe with a topaz crystal on the toe cap. Barbie harkens back to the 90s glam Barbies.
