Ball Canning Jar Perfect Mason 1 Quart Aqua Blue Mold #8 Vintage 1910-1923

This vintage Ball Perfect Mason jar is a beautiful aqua blue color with a zinc lid & mold #8 on the bottom. It is 7” tall & 4” wide. The brand name on the side is very pronounced, funny how that is something that varies so much in vintage jars as the molds were not ‘cookie cutter’ molds like those of today. The zinc & milk glass ball lid says ‘pickles 1970’ which I thought was nice so I didn’t try to remove it. It was produced from 1910 until 1923 and proudly made in the USA in Muncie, Indiana. It has a one quart volume capacity and is made by the brand Ball. As with all old canning jars this one has its own unique ‘flaws’ which are now ‘perfect imperfections’ for decorating in antique 1910s-1920s style. The condition is very nice, there are no chips and has the usual little bubbles and such that glass jars from that period have. The outdoor pictures show the condition best.
