This classic dress is in very good, pre owned condition with no stains, holes or odors. It's been well cared for and in a smoke free home. The dress is unlined and the interior care tag has been removed by the previous owner. Fabric content is 99% rayon, 1% Lycra. Hand wash or dry clean, dry flat. The material has a sheen to it, giving it an almost metallic look. It has a good weight to it, signaling it's authentic make.  With creative directors Nicholas Ghesquière in the 1990s and Alexander Wang in the early 2000's , the house of Balenciaga saw a modernization in homage to the namesake designer’s famous silhouettes. Not only did the house revive the silhouettes, a re-mastery of neutral tones became a marker of the brand. Done in a coated black rayon, this dress has a soft luster. A visual basket-like textures is created by alternating bands of knitting; the dress shifts from densely knit sections, to rows of eyelet, then to a decorative open knit design ending with a large rib knit at the knee-length hem. Prominent rounded shoulders slope down into a pegged silhouette from the drop-shoulder sleeves. With a slight cinching at the waist, this dress flatters a straight form and curvier figures.
