Bakelite Translucent Prystal Root Beer color with Aluminum Twine Wrap Vintage Bangle 1940's Rare Modern Bangle. Thin Silver tone, aluminum twine wrap that is connected on 2 places on the inside band. I am thinking the metal is Aluminum, no tarnishing . Great vintage condition with no chips or cracks! Simichrome Tested. Approx. 3 1/8" from the outside, side to side, 3/5" T Approx. 2 1/2" from the inside, side to side Approx. 46.9 grams or 1.11 oz. A Little Bit of History :) Prystal was a trade name used for a type of transparent Bakelite marketed by the American Catalin Corporation in a number of different colors. Even though it was technically made of Catalin, most of collectors still reference it as a type of Bakelite.)
