Bakelite Tester&History

For those of you who may not be familiar with Bakelite,here is a bit of interesting History:First plastic made from synthetic components."Formaldehyde Resin,formed from a condensation reaction of Phenol with Formaldehyde. Was developed by Leo Baekeland in Yonkers NY in 1907 and Pantented on December 1909. The retro appeal of old Bakelite product's has made them very collectable and often extremely expensive!!!!!
