What do you mean by mended on the right side? Was there a rip/tear in the fabric that was sewn up? Is it noticeable? If so where about is it?

What is that underneath? Is that a full lining of a sweater fabric under the entire dress? Just asking cuz I’ve gained weight & ugh a looser fit is better right now.
