ulshazen @bliss5655 hi sorry for the late reply. the back would be dented by the piercer so this creates a wedge when inserted to a tube-like post(the backing) it is for piercing that you don't like a butterfly post or anything that would get caught into clothes, hair, etc. completely flat and flushed to ear. hope this helps. tnx

docbree13 Are the photos of the actual jewelry because they look silver? Also, how long is the optional post? And do you have larger photos so I can look for scratches, etc?
