jasonreed1919 Where’s the serial #? Where’s the case? What makes you think that epiphone has anything to do with this bass?

sunniechic @jasonreed1919 The serial number was on a sticker & that’s how they did things at the company in NY. No I don’t have a sticker from over 50 years ago. Epiphone bought the company & the right’s from Brownsville, then they started making the same guitar, with their name on it. So now ya know❣️

rmawesome Hate to be the bummer here, but your bass is not from the 60s. I can see that just from the hardware on it. Brownsville NY guitars were introduced in late 99, early 2000. The name is Brownsville NY, after the founders neighborhood in Brooklyn. They were manufactured by Samson. They were never made in NY, but in Korea or China. The Brownsville NY was an affordable guitar that Sam Ash sold as their house brand. Hence, no serial number (which it should have one) 1/2

rmawesome 2/2 Technically is it vintage? Any instrument 30 years or older is considered vintage, however with guitars according to Reverb, it’s 50 years. Like a fine wine! Since you don’t know the actual age, I would pull vintage. I would call a Sam Ash store to see if you can pull a date.

sunniechic @rmawesome Thanks so much for the info. I pulled the vintage. I took this to the Guitar Center & that is what they told me. Your input will help the buyer, very informative & I appreciate an expert like for taking the initiative❣️
