BREATHTAKING 1940s' NAVY FELT WIDE BRIM HAT + MULTICOLORED FEATHERS

This is an amazing navy felt wide brim hat from the fabulous 1940s'! The crown is unique in that it has been shaped to have a square shape as ih is folded in at the top front. The flexible wide brim slightly falls downwards at the front. there is a navy grosgrain band around the crown which ends in a bow sand streams downwards. A gorgeous array of multicolored feathers adorns onstage side. This is such a striking hat! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
