Beautiful glimmering stones! Moving these cat's eye cufflinks in the light causes the cat's eyes to appear to shimmer. The one on the right, in the photos, has more horizontal striations across the vertical cat's eye and reflects more of the surroundings color. The 18 mm x 25 mm oval cat's eye cabochons are set in the smooth bezels of the rhodium plated cufflinks. Cat's Eye is a synthetic gemstone made from hi-tech glass fiber. It transmits light along these fibers, resembling natural chatoyancy as found in certain natural gemstones such as Chrysoberyl. ● NWOT is made in the USA, in excellent condition; purchased directly from the jeweler/artist. ● Rhodium Plated: Rhodium is harder than silver, gold and many other metals.
