Gorgeous antique velvet Mexican skirt with Mayan design! Hand painted and embellished with sequins! Size 24 inch waist. Needs hooks replaced. Can be worn with black or colored camisole or top. Also could be framed and hung on wall! Some wear at waist otherwise fabulous! Unusually good condition for antique! Where the skirt connects is loose and needs to be stitched. The hooks should be replaced. This skirt is a hand painted antique from the 1940’ or 1950’s. I am selling it as is!

raven_portland Hello—beautiful skirt. What is the condition of the zipper? Also, does it have a center back and/or side seams? If it has just a center back, I assume the zipper is in the seam? (Just trying to see if it could be altered by about an inch). Thank you.

normagolitely @raven_portland This dress has no zipper. It is an antique my mother bought in the 40’s or 50’s in Mexico. The waist is about 24 inches. As shown on the photo, the threading has come apart on the side where the hooks and eyes are and needs to be stitched. It is hand painted like art and has sequins sown on. It was hand made I believe by Mayan Indians. It is definitely small at the waist. There are two seams.
