So, these past couple of weeks, I've had not one, not two, but THREE orders of Kendra Scott items each from different sellers either canceled or never shipped to me. I didn't want to be suspicious at first and I HATE the fact that it's now a part of my nature to be so. I know that many have been a victim of this before, and I honestly sympathize with all of you. It's so sad, and I cannot understand how someone could have it in them do these things. How would you feel if others did it to you?!

ladysoju I'm sorry for this rant, but this is the first time it's happened to me. This has been going on for a long time now and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. This doesn't have to be such a toxic environment.

rebeccathelion I've had one item that I really wanted canceled (by me) weeks later. She said she dropped it in a postal box and it was lost. Now I show she has no listings even the canceled sale. Suspect.

o0thuyzer0o Maybe posh should withhold some of the fees prior to canceling the transaction because the seller can't meet their sale, thus falsely advertising. That would resolve it.

shanlog I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’ve been thru the same & it’s very upsetting. PM needs to hold the seller responsible in some way. This happens far too often on this site.

lalahh100 posh should seriously invoke a rule that states something like if a seller does not log into posh at least once in a 30 day period their ads will be hidden from search. I have paid for more than 10 things and had to cancel after days. the last one i paid for and then noticed the seller had not logged in since last may! its very frustrating. would certainly help cut out our having to ask 'is this item available' over and over...

cbloan15 This happened to me last week :( someone messaged the girl and told her she should cancel bc she sold them for way less than she could have... so she cancelled on me! I was so upset bc I was getting one of my unicorn pieces!

theresvaus_o Amen ladies! I had a seller cancel my order after she contacted me and asked if i still wanted the item so i accepted her counter and then she cancelled so she could raisr yhe price. I contacted PM and they said she could do so. Unfair because we the buyer cant cancel our offer once the seller accepts! And I also made another purchase that seller never sent.

gypsymothdg That's crazy, I may be ignorant but as a seller and a buyer I don't understand the angle except pure laziness. I like that I don't get paid/ the person I'm buying from doesn't get paid until the item is where it should be. You would hope it'd keep people more honest- I'm sorry you had this happen not once but multiple times! How do you go about reporting this kind of thing?

mindyjean2015 I sell and I’ve had the opposite happen to me. I am same day shipper 80% Of The time. And I’ve had so many sales bought and canceled after I’ve already shipped. Because it does not show up for hours even after being scanned by usps. Communication is huge on here.

bizarre676 There should be some sort of penalty in place for canceling an order after payment, sellers need to be held responsible for a sale once it's been committed to - time is money and I won't buy from Poshmark again because I've had every sale I was really excited to get become canceled right around the time I thought I would be receiving it. Really bad business practices...

darling_dress It’s incredibly frustrating that there are no consequences for sellers who cancel orders or do not ship. I don’t mind waiting if they have the genuine intent to ship, but it’s not fair to the buyer to have their money tied up when they could purchase from someone who actually follows through. Sorry for the rant💕 I just had another seller cancel an order I was really looking forward to today.😔

sexyskulls Some people may have misplaced the item, it could be broken, it’s a number of reasons why sellers cancel. Putting a rant in your closet is a little unprofessional

ladysoju @sexyskulls When I posted this years ago, there were so many cancelations going on because ppl were offering for a higher price although a listing has already sold. I can’t find the exact listings now since it’s been years (& frankly, I no longer have the time) but I saw firsthand the type of comments/messages (not private at the time) people were making and tried so hard to hide in order to have orders canceled.

ladysoju @sexyskulls I’m glad for you if this type of situation hasn’t happened to you. I’m actually quite embarrassed with the amount of time I spent playing detective regarding those situations & wont be wasting my time anymore. I left this post up for others like me to be able to vent their frustrations and disappointments. It may seem unprofessional to others, and with all due respect, but not once did I consider this my professional job setting.

bellegiselle It's pretty sad when I find myself thinking twice about buying on Poshmark. Then when you do press buy, in the back of your mind you wonder how long will a seller actually to take to ship, and will they cancel on me out of the blue. It's happened 5 times to me. That being said, there are some VERY wonderful sellers on Poshmark. It's the indifferent ones that temper expectations and foster reservations.

rdwilliams83 Ive only bought 7 items on poshmark so far. 20% of them were canceled by the seller. and now im busy with an order for an item ive been watching for a whole year on poshmark and 5 days after the purchase - no shipping so far and im really afraid the seller is going to cancel the order now again!

susantaylor64 that just happened to me on something I really wanted and was excited about. after not shipping in 4 days I message to see if she was shipping. No reply and then a day later my order was marked canceled. Not even a message to me letting me know. I won't buy from Poshmark if it's something I need, I'll just go to Amazon or elsewhere.

missjenna95 I totally agree with you the past nine months being on this account I had bad experience from most of the sellers on here , no commutation and not sending the item on time or the description wasn’t what it was. Terrible Customer Service.

welsherabbit Yes, i have had TWO items that i purchased on Poshmark cancelled in less than two weeks. Sellers should have more accountability. When I buy things on e Bay, my purchases are never cancelled.

marmarx3 I just had a seller tell me they want to cancel my order because they had spoken to someone prior about purchasing it but they had flaked and no such details were in the description… I think it’s unfair to list items and reserve them for people who don’t even have the funds to make a purchase.

weecarega2 I've had to cancel orders before and I've been asked to cancel orders by buyers- it's a two way street. Sellers are often disappointed by requests to cancel orders as well. There are legit reasons to cancel

weecarega2 NOT every situation is the same 1- I was rushed to the hospital with heart issues- 10 day stay 2- I had to rush out of town for a family member getting ready to cross over- was handling family business for 12 days 3- My basement flooded with sewer on a Sunday night- right before I was going to find 25 orders from the weekend 4- My daughter was a victim of a horrible crime- took me a couple weeks to recoup 5- Tornado close to my area and no power for several days

lynaluna870 @mindyjean2015 hi Mindy, two buyers did the same thing to me this month. They added a bundle purchase it then contacted me to cancel order so they can add more stuff. They just disappeared after I canceled the order. Would this get me in trouble with posh mark? Why can’t the buyers cancel the sales themselves? Thanks

redmadouc Canceling is one thing, as they may have a reason, but not communicating is just ignorant. Selling an item, getting a person’s funds tied up, canceling, and not messaging that person with an apology and an explanation, is just poor upbringing.

petitekitteh I've had this stupid BS happen to me a few times before, one just a few days ago. It's bad seller etiquette and I end up just blocking the idiot to avoid accidentally trying to buy from them again. I don't like wasting my time with people like that.

floofallacloset @darling_dress I bought a sweater from a seller. No shipping info or communication from them in over a week. I inquired about status day 8, no response; another inquiry day 10, no response. I cancelled on day 11 after order placed. Seller blocked me. They still have the sweater for sale.

scenic77 Same, I’ve had the last three items I’ve ordered from sellers cancelled. One said , “I’m going to find out why it was cancelled,” like it was out of her control. One said nothing and the last one said, “I couldn’t find the item!” It’s all BS and ready to delete this app as it’s become unreliable! plus PM needs to implement a message seller option!
