It pains me to see people selling fake palettes for full price on here so I'm making this post. Picture 2,4&7 are of fake palettes, the rest are mine. Notice the completely different color box for both naked 2 palettes. My palette also has a serial code on the back of the palette and the box. I do not have my naked3 box, but you can easily see the difference between the colors: the fake has off colors that are not rose gold, including green. ***the barcode is NOT the same as the serial number!

mollyfrechette hey!! just wondering if you've seen fakes with serial numbers?? i got two off here and I'm not sure if there real or fake even though i tried learning all the ways to tell. gonna bring them to sephora i think and ask! but have you seen a fake with a fake serial number?? thanks for making this post!!!!

sweetpea0596 Awe of course, no problem 😊if you want to post a picture I can try to help you identify it. I've seen too faced and KVD palettes with fake serial numbers but they are usually pretty easy to distinguish. Maybe naked has them too but I haven't seen many

sweetpea0596 @smartgirlsummer yeah, and unfortunately it's really common :/ too faced, urban decay and tarte are only some of the brands that dupes are made of. Plus, dupes can have terrible chemicals in them that are bad for your skin

sweetpea0596 @smartgirlsummer buying from the website directly is the best thing you can do 💕 even some dupes have serial numbers so it gets harder and harder to tell. But I've gotten some amazing deals on here and I know the makeup is 100% authentic, so it can definitely be worth it!😊

langlow69 Oh yes these are 5 to 9 bucks overseas I've tried a few of the TF for my daughter because she's 12 but that's good for her to learn they are not OK for those who want high end in their collection. I even checked the sealing packaging no difference in the too faced chocolate bars exact same package as the ones made here so yes very hard to tell if I didn't see all the fakes because I sell on a more high quality site lol

langlow69 @bbunny420 yes I've seen a ton like this bit I don't think the pallets are harmful like the lip products I can tell you many more fakes, Kylie k, Annastassia lips, Jeffree Star lips and pallete, lime crime almost ripped my lips off because I got a dupe, makeup forever omg the list is really endless of the replicas I see on the site I sale but they say unbranded they don't lie some do like the Kylie K comes with packing slip and everything but rips your lips off returned. Sorry to add more guys

sweetpea0596 @langlow69 yeah exactly. The palettes can still be pretty harmful as well, but it's totally hit or miss because there's no regulation on what's put in the palettes in the first place. But lip products are worse because you readily invest them :/

hautemarket I dont have a problem with fake so long as the person is honest about it being replica but thats my opinion. I was at the market this weekend and ppl were selling fake MAC and UD and ppl were swarming them...i'm like girl bye all those are fake AF. Just 2 weeks ago I watched the FBI arrest a couple for selling fake nikes there!

sweetpea0596 @crystal17044 wow that's insane. The problem with fakes is that there's no controlling of what is put in them. I don't have a huge problem with it lol but huge amounts of bad metals can be added, as well as traces of feces from animals. Lip products are worse because you literally eat the stuff after awhile lol. You can still find amazing deals on here, just have to be careful to make sure it's authentic :)

I remember when I was more naive i bought a fake palette when I told was real and only the thin top layer had pigment under than it was just gray like powdered lead. I was so mad. That happened at the market too. Thing is if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

courtneybandish @langlow69 the fake palettes can have very harmful chemicals so I'd be apprehensive about letting your daughter practice with them. My friend got a fake Too Faced palette and ended up getting a terrible eye infection

I'm just to damn lazy to add EVERYTHING again lol I have like 8 Lorac palettes 7 palettes from the Balm 3 juvia's place palettes A few Tarte palettes I have ABH modern renaissance.. sweetpea0596 @avaharlow I know, it is so crazy 😪 China makes fake palettes from nearly all of the more famous, higher end brands. They’re super dangerous because rat feces, chlorine and all kinds of other poisons have been found in them and people put them on their eyes! But there are almost always easy ways to make sure that a palette is indeed authentic. I would do more awareness posts, but I don’t have the money to buy all the palettes and the fakes 😂
