I just wanted to pass the info along to all my followers or who may bless my page There are very many fakes on Posh and other sites that people are buying not knowing better! oneinamillionjj YAY!!! I'm sick of all the fake Betsey Johnson jewelry on here & there's LOTS of it! I find one way to tell with necklaces right away is if they have that snake chain with the pendant. And I tell ppl all the time, Hello Kitty is a registered trademark, just lk the BMW symbol I've seen & those awful minions! Lol

oneinamillionjj Omg guess what?! Some of the fake Betsey is FINALLY gonna get taken off here! Not sure if you've gotten one of the new notifications Posh implemented where they show u a bunch of items that were reported & why & ask if you Agree, Disagree or Don't Know .. I've done it a few times, but I just finished one now & most of it was knockoff BJ stuff that I agreed was definitely replica. Yay! Lol .. sry I was just so excited I needed to tell someone who would understand. 😉

oneinamillionjj @josgems I've had to do it on some of the bracelets, but I can usually tell on the earrings from the card & the necklaces will ALWAYS have that ugly snake looking chain I'd they're fake. Once you notice what chain I'm talking about, you'll be able to spot them from a mile away! Not to mention, rarely does Betsey have just a basic chain anymore .. they always have something random going on 1/2 way down lol

oneinamillionjj @josgems Not for purses it's not a telltale sign. I had never actually seen the design before, but I saw the tag on the outside of the plastic that said floral shoulder tweed purse & Google it. I would have to say it's real. They have it for sale on jet.com & that's a legit site so I think you're all good. Usually if u Google the item & can't find it or its only avail on ebay & places lk that, then I'd be a little suspect.

oneinamillionjj @katewaz look thru the pics above. Most Betsey jewelry on this app is actually fake & its really sad bcuz ppl think they're getting a deal when really they aren't. Anyways, the earrings, simple punch holes in the cards instead of the square cutouts. All the necklaces she has have the pink leopard tag + the telltale sign for me, is their chain. That info isn't on this, its just something I've gathered from personal fandom.

And the few that may be legit - they'll prob be charging quite a bit for it bcuz its an older piece that isn't very common anymore. I think I may have 1-2 that have leopard tags but most don't & majority of mine was bought 5+yrs ago.

linnylou28 One more thing I bought earrings directly from Walt Disneyworld - Betsy Johnson - they had several of her pieces and also sold a limited Betsy Johnson Mickey ears in a nice case - so I am really confused - I wish I could post a picture of the last piece I bought from this scammer it’s a Donald Duck pin/necklace for a friend as a gift. 😢

oneinamillionjj @linnylou28 I'll take a look. I'm on there as well. It's so very unfortunate that sellers do this & some do it not even knowing they're fakes. Even when I ordered straight from BetseyJohnson.com before she changed her jewelry cards they had barcodes & pricing on the back. The chain that's the dead giveaway for me if I'm not sure is kind of thicker & rounded, I think it'd be considered a rope chain. Not just a simple link chain.

The only other collab I can think of off the top of my head is trolls. She's never done Hello Kitty, Betty Boop, Minions .. etc I would bet that all these fakes are what caused her to have to file bankruptcy not too many yrs back.

I've even seen sellers selling just the tag or earring cards themselves that anyone could use. I completely understand your anger & frustration, but you didn't know. I've been scammed on high end makeup before & others on designer purses & clothes.

oneinamillionjj @linnylou28 Took me awhile to find her bcuz u can't look up sellers specifically & that site is swamped with fakes, but not as bad as it's been before. I had to search Betsey & Donald but I found her. And at least 99% of her items are not authentic Betsey, I'm sorry. She's got really good ratings bcuz many ppl don't know the difference. And actually most of the items aren't even knockoffs of her actual items, they're just blinged out pendants & chains with the heart logo. They're imitations.

oneinamillionjj @linnylou28 The tag not being attached just tells me she buys jewels that she sees the heart charm on & she buys the tags & puts them together. Betsey real items are just like the earrings u got at Disney .. expensive. She's got her studs for $20 which isn't bad but from there they just go up. You may want to screenshot the pic above with the tags before approaching Merc. You're really gonna have to push with them too I think bcuz it takes alot for them to take down anything.

My sis & I have alot of her handbags which u can sometimes find at Marshall's or Tj Max. What i love more than anything about Betsey is that she's like what .. 75 yrs old now & still doing cartwheels down the runway at her fashion shows 🤗

There are many knock off’s being sold from China that are fakes. PINK is another brand to watch out for lots of fakes with them as well. If its priced to go to be true, its probably not authentic quality. Sorry i am not able to help more.

tiffs_trends @mdamron0808 if it is past the 3 days Posh may not be able to help. I am not sure exactly, as Ive not encountered this issue personally. There is a facebook group of Poshers and online sales that maybe others might have more info or experienced this issue.

She bought most items at department stores but some things were purchased online as used. Now, I am going to inspect everything carefully. I would feel awful if I unknowingly sold something fake.
