ndar @katcarravaggio welcome to Poshmark! I’ve been on for about 2 years now and have learned a lot. So if there’s anything a long the way that you have questions about, let me know! I met a few really great people when I first started, who helped me- which was so helpful. It can be hard not to shop on Posh, but if you have will power that’s perfect! There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself every once in a while 😉

katcarravaggio @ndar thanks! are you a personal stylist as a career? you should be. I guess my questions are how to know what price to set? also how do I get people to see my closet? lol. I read the guidelines but this is all new to me. plus I have a busy career so I cant always get on this app.

ndar @katcarravaggio yes, I am a personal stylist & artist (as a career)! Those are great questions. There are several factors to what how you set your prices. Number 1- it’s all up to you! & what you’re comfortable with. Number 2- take In to consideration how much you originally paid for it and what condition it’s in (ie: if it’s NEW your price would be higher than if it were used - however that depends on the designer & how popular your item is)

ndar @katcarravaggio Number 3- look around on Poshmark (or the internet) to see comparable items and how much they’re priced at. Number 4- think about if you want a quick sale or you don’t mind waiting for the right buyer. If you want a quick sale- selling at a lower price will help.

ndar @katcarravaggio you get people to see your closet by following and sharing other posh closets. Poshmark is all about interaction, so the more you share your own closet and share other peoples closets, the more people will look at your closet. Especially in the beginning, more intersection is needed. All of this is just what I’ve learned & my personal opinion based on my experiences. Hope that it helps!

katcarravaggio @ndar thanks great advice! I know how to share individual items ( I shared some of yours to my followers) but can I share your entire closet? I think people should see it. I also will take your advice and reduce some prices.

ndar @katcarravaggio unfortunately there’s no way to share an entire closet all at once (that would be so great!). So the way you’re doing it is perfect. Your prices look really fair, in my opinion. You have some great designer pieces, so I would focus more on getting people to see your closet. Try sharing your closet at least 2 times a day (if not more).

ndar @katcarravaggio sorry I didn’t explain that clearly. Share each of your items (from your closet) on Posh. When you share your items from your closet, not only does it share to your followers but it also moves up your items in the designer search. So when people look up Fendi (since you have a fendi coat) your item will be at the top of their search when you share it. Every time you share your item it’s more likely to get seen by more shoppers
