One side has a fold over top that closes with Velcro, the opposite side is just a pocket, to easily slide essentials in and also closes with Velcro. The bottom of the bag has two rubber pieces to keep the bag standing and to protect the cloth bottom. There are two zippered compartments, one easily fits a laptop, books, notes etc. the other compartment fits any weekend outfits for a weekend away.
