Barbara Furstenhofer was born in 1939, inherited her talent from her father, trained at the Academy of fine Arts in Nuremberg, worked as a freelance artist for the textile industry, illustrated children’s books, and was responsible for color schemes in the modern art for architecture. This plate is an example of Barbara Furstenhofer’s quality work on majolica. This plate has an approximate diameter of 10 ½ inches and is fully marked on the back. This plate is in good pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is paint wear to the inner trim, (see photos). Neither of these imperfections decreases the aesthetic of this item.
