BALENCIAGA Vintage Motorcycle Bag (2000), Chestnut Brown pre First City

A Balenciaga Collector’s Dream!! Vintage Balenciaga from the early 2000s. One of the earliest motorcycle bags from Balenciaga and one that served as an inspiration for and what led to what became one of the most iconic handbags ever produced. It has the same long tassels and laced leather handles that are still part of the design today! Made of durable textured leather (I believe its cowhide) with silver hardware. The bag is approx 11 inches wide, 7 inches tall and 2 inches deep. There’s a zipped pocket on the front with the Balenciaga name stamped into the leather. Lined with water resistant microfiber (not nylon — it feels more like a raincoat!), there’s a zipper pocket inside with two slip pockets behind the zipper. Despite the O-rings, these bags didn’t come with shoulder straps, but I will include a 20 in strap thats very close to the same color made of similar smooth leather and compliments this bag nicely (one sided/non reversible) This bag appears to have never been or rarely carried. Its more than 20 years old and is in really good shape. The perfect addition for the diehard Balenciaga collector or someone who wants to purchase a first designer handbag for a daughter or granddaughter!
