BALENCIAGA 2002 (3rd Season) Black Monk Besace Crossbody Shoulder Hobo Bag

This is one of the first bags from the motorcycle collection of Balenciaga bags, back then referred to as the "Le Dix" collection. Made from what they called MONK LEATHER, which is similar to a suede nubuck with a bit of a shine. Its very lightweight, durable & indestructible. The silver hardware looks amazing against the deep dark black leather. Besace bags are designed to be worn cross body/messenger style but the shoulder strap can be shortened so the bag can be carried on the shoulder like a traditional shoulder bag/hobo. There are no pockets on the inside, but there is a deep front pocket on the front of the bag. It comes with its original mirror and all its tassels. Overall the bag is in great shape, except the corners are worn down to the piping (one more than the other). When I originally purchased the bag, I hadn't even noticed this because overall, it looked as if it had never been carried! Also, the stitches of the leather label inside the bag have popped, so the label is pulled away & loose at the top corner. The inside is clean with no rips, holes, snags or stains. Otherwise, this looks amazing for a bag thats more than 20 years old! Approx measurements 14 in across, 13 in high, lies flat when empty but expands Includes attached tassels, mirror and sleeper
