My teaching styles have definitely changed over the years. We teach four different novels throughout the course of a year and yes... I supplement with many activities I create. I rarely use worksheets. My students all have an iPad so we use a lot of technology. I need to make sure I create engaging lessons and activities so my students respond...lol...

@myagrace17 Wow! Thanks for sharing all of that. 4 novels are amazing. Technology in the classrooms really makes a difference. I love iPads. Most of the teachers I work with are trying to get away from worksheets. I get the need to make lessons engaging. Where do you find inspiration for those activities? Are they typically more hands on? Thanks for sharing!!! ππ

I teach in an inner city school so I need all the engaging lessons I can put together to keep my students motivated and wanting to read...lol. I'm blessed that I'm creative. I put together most of my lessons, sometimes using pinterest and internet ideas. I look at the standards and just go from there. Yes...time consuming but SO worth it!! Love interacting with you!
