Authentic Whiting & Davis signed gold plated mesh coiled snake bracelet vintage

Collectable Whiting & Davis gold plated mesh coiled snake bracelet. One end is a snake head, the other the tail with a long thick golden mesh body that wraps 1 1/2 times around the wrist. Signed 'Whiting & Davis' beneath the head. Era: 1960s. Genuine design, flexible bracelet. Strong tubular construction, tarnish proof scales. Rich gold tone, shiny surface. Condition is excellent. 
Size: 17-19 cm. Very unique when worn. Whiting & Davis Co. began as a chain manufacturing company in 1876. The company became famous for their mesh metal handbags but also made accessories and costume jewelry. Although their jewelry history began much earlier, Whiting & Davis is best known for their costume jewelry made from the 1950s onward. This includes cast pieces made of gold- and silver-plated metal with large glass stones or glass cameos. Most of these pieces were marked with oval-shaped hang tags reading Whiting Davis in all caps or Whiting & Davis Co stamped directly into the piece. A unique and rare find.
