They are made of acrylic material and feature a light blue watercolor design and are suitable for serving salad, soup, cereal, snacks and can be used for food storage. They are dishwasher safe, however, to preserve the crystal clear appearance of the bowls handwashing is recommended. These bowls are from the 1980's and have about a 16 oz capacity They were my mom's and she was a Tupperware dealer for over 50 years and these sat in the back of a cupboard in her kitchen.
