@dawnharbin it is extremely large, I would call it a tote. The mouth opens about a foot in each direction, it's about a foot and a half wide and the same deep ❤️ I hope that helps! it definitely it is a big bag, especially for an everyday purse, my mother used it to like put her actual day purse and makeup bags in for traveling hahaha
