Authentic 30s Wool Skirt Suit

1930s Wool Skirt Suit, Vintage Women’s Blazer & Midi Matching Set Label: Chumley (more info below) Fabric: nice thick wool Features: Jacket has three pockets, full lining, and lovely shoulder pads. Skirt is unlined with a metal side zipper and button closure. Measurements taken flat across the front and have not been doubled. Jacket measurements: Bust: 17.5”-18” Waist: 15” Length: 23” Sleeve: 23” Back width (shoulder seam to shoulder seam): 15” Skirt measurements: Waist: 13” (no stretch) Hip: 20” (would also work with smaller hips) Length: 27” Condition: Excellent! I couldn’t find a single flaw. The darts in the skirt are not fully closed, but it looks intentional so I’m leaving it. This suit was originally purchased at the Charles F. Berg store in Portland, Oregon. They started the Chumley label in the 1920s. The store closed long ago, but the downtown building is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a rare example of Art Deco architecture in downtown Portland.
