An Austrian modernist geometric cocktail ring
A statement geometric cocktail ring, created in Vienna Austria, back in the 1970. The ring has been crafted as a kind of toi et moi with modernist patterns in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with two very fine natural earth mined gemstones such: a very rare indicolite tourmaline and a rare pink tourmaline. The color combination and the translucence of the gemstones create a fabulous contrast with the gold.
Diamonds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 2 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.20 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
Pink Tourmaline: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 rectangular step cut (23 x 7 x 5 mm) of a natural vivid pink tourmaline of about 12.18 carats.
Pink Tourmaline
Color is the most important quality factor for a pink tourmaline and is the primary driver of value. General rule is that as color saturation of a tourmaline increases, the value. Pink tourmaline crystals are a unique gemstone that can be found in many parts of the world. Known for its distinctive hue and wide range of shades, pink tourmaline is highly sought after by collectors and jewelers alike. The main sources are in Africa, Brazil, Pakistan and Afghanistan for tourmaline stones in general.
Blue Tourmaline: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 rectangular step cut (14 x 7 x 5 mm) of a natural vivid blue Indicolite tourmaline of about 7.59 carats.
