A lightweight shoe with a glovelike fit, the SpeedStar has a fast feel and a surprising amount of springy cushioning for a performance trainer. According to our lab tests and weartester feedback, the soft heel and mildly stiff forefoot contribute to the smooth and responsive ride. Most testers were fine with the shoe's decidedly tight fit, but some took exception to its breathability. Recommended as a fast-paced training shoe for normal to high-arched runners.
