When she first discovered nuno felting, it was a revelation for her. She fell in love with the freedom of design and virtually limitless color palette. Christa wanted to work with women in developing countries to help provide them with opportunities for economic independence. Mexico was an obvious choice due to its proximity to the USA. She taught groups of women the process of nuno felting. They have been working together since 2009 & have become highly accomplished artisans. This provides sustainability & empowerment for their futures. This exquisite line helps to provide employment (and empowerment!) for the women in Mexico who weave them.
