23" Black & Red Beaded Necklace with Large Round Statement Pendant * 14k Gold Spring Ring Clasp * Black beads (onyx?) are 10 mm. * Red beads are 6.5 mm. Estate find has vibrantly colored beads in several sizes. Minimal (if any) wear can be seen. This necklace is strung on a steel cable. The spring ring clasp is marked 14K. I have not acid tested it for fineness. I am not a gem expert. This is my best guess for composition. Purchased at an estate sale and the daughter of the original owner also thinks it is red jasper and onyx.
