Edwardian enameled purple flower brooch.
Very beautiful three-dimensional piece, created in America during the Edwardian and the Art Nouveau periods, between the 1901 and1910. This beautiful pin brooch has been carefully crafted in the shape of a lucky horseshoe with a pansy flower in the center in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with satin frosted finish. Embellished with applications of non glossy powder enamel with a gradation of purples colors. The enamel work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the fibers and veins of the leaves. It is a little jewel with exquisite and exceptional details. It is fitted at the reverse with a horizontal hinged pin bar and a mechanical security lock to wear as a brooch and a retractable movable ring to wear in a chain
Diamond: Mount in the center in a four-prongs setting, with 1 European rose cut diamond, 0.05 carats, white colorless G color, SI-1 clarity.
Pearls: The horseshoe is accented around, with 25 round halves of white pearls.
