Art Deco Figurine titled “Egyptian Dancer”. Sculpted Originally by Master Deco Artist D.H. Chiparus in the mid-1920’s.
The piece depicts a female dancer with elevated arms, scantily dressed with female Egyptian dancer attire; she is crossed legged with skirt draped down across her legs. The female stands atop a black marble heavy base (2 pin mount) with 2 different Egyptian style plaques on each side of base.
This statue might be a possible hot cast of ivorine (special made form of plastic). It is signed and has 2000 on her left foot by what I believe to be the reproduction artist or company. I can not make out the name. The same name is printed on the felt bottom, See photo.
Overall Height: 22-3/4″, Width: 7-1/2″, Weight: 4 lbs. 12.7 oz.
No flaws.
A real conversation piece and a MUST for the Art Deco collector!
Please see the photos for YOUR evaluation of size, uniqueness, color, condition, authenticity, and what I have tried to describe.
