From a pet and smoke free home, these vintage Arabia of Finland dinner plates are in lovely condition: no stains, scratches from daily use, two plates have minor chips on the base UNDERNEATH the plate (pictured), smashing condition commensurate with age. Karelia is a great example of the Finnish style of well-defined decoration and simple forms of everyday ceramics. Durability and usability were key concerns for Anja Jaatinen-Winquist in her ceramic designs. The simple hand-painted brown stripe decoration is refreshed by the unique color variations that occur as the glazing colour melts in the kiln.
