I am selling this gently used Betta fish tank. I loved it for my three Betta fish! It works perfectly and the waterfall is cute. Very quiet and would make a good gift. I will include all of the necessary supplies except for the filter! Pink gravel, water conditioner, Betta vitamins, Betta treats variety, and a blue net for catching the fish during cleaning time. bailey_steeves No offence but These tanks are horrible for bettas I don’t Understand why there even allowed to be sold on market, bettas need 3+ gallons, filters, heaters, silk or live plants and lots of hides

iheartskan @bailey_steeves what if I don’t have a heater or filter? My betta seems very happy and loves me. I just have natural things in 2 gallon tank like sea glass, rocks a cave, sleeping hammocks and live plants. I don’t want to fix what’s not broken’. I got it as a gift from my student and its been with me 6 months, upstate for the summer and nyc. I would be devastated to lose this fish!!!

bailey_steeves @iheartskan technically yes it will stress them out as they will see each other, what I meant by heater is is there a heater to keep the water at a temperature that is safe for betta’s.

iheartskan Upstate when the room got cold i wrapped up the tank. The water would fluctuate but she (prob a he) survived and apparently adapted.

bailey_steeves @iheartskan alright then you should get a small heater to go into one of the 3 spots to keep the water at a consistence temperature for your betta😁

iheartskan @bailey_steeves oh no I don’t have this tank. I just have one betta and its in a tall 2 gallon circular vase. But I don’t have a heater. Im afraid if i mess w the environment now, i will hurt her.

iheartskan @bailey_steeves she knows her name. She swims up to me when i call her. She blows kisses on the water when i ask her to. She is the best fish! So smart!

bailey_steeves @iheartskan I recommend getting a Square tank isn’t of using a Vase as they can actually affect their eye sight, having a tank without a heater can make bettas sick of the temperature is to cold from their natural environment. Bettas are supposed to be kept in temperatures of 78-86 Fahrenheit or it can put them in Temperature shock.

iheartskan @bailey_steeves how does it affect eyesight? Should they not be out in direct light? She was on my deck at summer cottage. Not good???

bailey_steeves @iheartskan it can cause them to go blind over time, depending on how long the sun light is on the tank it can have a negative effect like making the water warmer, can cause them to become stressed and stressed can lead to lots of things like nipping of their fins or more. bettas should avoid direct sunlight in your tank and opt for an artificial light instead, A betta should be exposed to about 14 – 16 hours of light (minimum) in a 24-hour day.
