I keep inheriting antique rings b/c they are too small for anyone else & back when my husband bought my engagement ring he got a completely ridiculous deal b/c the shop didn't offer resizing so it had been sitting unsold for years 👍

violetskys7 @inhsirk Most good jewelers can resize anything, including Sterling silver. Especially if you are going down in size. The general rule for gold is up to 2 sizes up or down. Silver 1 size, 2 if the jeweler does a lot of work with silver 💜💜💜💜

artistposhista @violetskys7 My engagement ring had been a returned custom order made from some type of platinum alloy (metal allergy?) so that's why they wouldn't resize it in store. And both my grandma & great grandmother had hinge clasps put in their platinum rings due to knuckle arthritis so resizing=$.

artistposhista @violetskys7 Also, what do you think of ring adjusters... Is one design better than the others? Some size 6s stay on my middle finger but others will slide right off so I'm always hesitant to buy. Plus in cold weather even my everyday rings occasionally get loose enough to make nervous I'll loose them.

violetskys7 @inhsirk Hi, I have two rings handed down to me that I have to use them on. I just went to Walmart and they had a pack of 5 I think for $5. I bought two packs and on one ring I wear two. They can't be seen. I'm still going to keep my eye out for anything I see in 4.5💜💜💜💜

artistposhista @violetskys7 Cool, thanks! I can do 5s if they are fairly lightweight. (I'm actually very average height/weight, just have really long/narrow limbs. It's also difficult to find bracelets- the only ones that don't fall off are either pieces I made/resized myself, vintage, or from Asia)
