Apple Blossom (New York) by HAVILAND Dinner Plate 10 1/8 in EUC

This Apple Blossom pattern was manufactured for 49 years by the Theodore Haviland China company, based in the US (at the time). It is marked "New York" to indicate the place of manufacture. Haviland markings and brands vary and can be confusing due to the number of Haviland companies that broke off from the original one. This pattern was made once the the Theodore Haviland company had earned the rights of the general Haviland brand name. Apple Blossom. It is what it's name says it is. Muted pink flowers swirl all about, surrounded and highlighted by darker pink flowers and multi-color light foliage. It evokes the freshness and renewal of spring and summer while not overloading on color. This pattern had an unusual longevity of almost half a century and is one of the most popular Haviland china patterns ever made.
