Antique woven basket with leather closure

I bought this antique basket from a boutique in Boston, but unfortunately don't have a lot of details to share about it's materials and history. It has some imperfections shown in pics, but still looks great on display and for light storage (I wouldn't fill it with heavy objects as the weave is already stressed in places). I've priced it based on what I paid at the antique shop.
