Dig this beautiful mid-1800's antique cruet set crafted by R. Strickland & Co. Stamped as Quadruple Plate and below that the number 7. This very stunning set has a lovely vinegar and oil cruets with the original etched crystal cut stoppers they measure 9" tall along with the salt and pepper which measure 7 1/2" tall and the mustard jar which measures 6" tall. It comes in it's quadruple plate caddy stamped R. Strickland & Co. The caddy needs polishing and has some age wear. The Bohemian glass decanters are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. See pics for details. One of the stoppers is shorter than the other on the internal side, but doesn't seem to affect use or appearance when all together. Over all for it being over 150 years old I would rate this set as excellent condition. Ralph Strickland (R. Strickland) of Albany, New York was born in 1831 and was listed in the Albany City Directories between 1857 - 1884 as a manufacturer of plated wares. He patented the mesh strainer detail inside both coffee pots and teapots at the base of the spout that captured coffee grounds and leaves inside the pot before they could be poured into a teacup or coffee cup.

Hello, Is the color shown tarnish and patina or worn off silver plate? I'd also like to know if the silver caps on the salt and pepper are functional. If they unscrew and are not corroded inside as sometimes happens, especially with salt. Also if the Mustard bottle cap is a shaker, flip or a screw top. I can't tell from the picture. Thx so much.

@1pearlyrose hi! When I get back to my place this evening I will inspect more closely and get back to you with answers to your questions. And likely some pics. Thank you for your interest!

@1pearlyrose I can’t seem to figure out how to message you on here. If you’re able to send me a private message, maybe I can reply with photos. But the silver plate does not appear to be scraped off, it looks as if it is patina and normal silver tarnish. The two tops you inquired about do seem to have threads on the inside however the glass doesn’t have threads to receive the threads on them so I’m not sure how the science on that works. The other one is a flip top.
